Fire and Ice

I produced this work after a visit to Iceland in January 2016.

The blades of fire eerily contrasting against underlying shards of ice, reminding me of the contrasts of the Icelandic landscape.

This piece is produced with layers of acrylic paint dragged sharply across the surface with a broad palette knife.
