A visit to the rocky areas of North Yorkshire beaches inspired this painting.

As the sunlight changes on the water the ripples of colour intensify and the vortex at the centre draws my eye down.

This piece is hot wax painted over oil paint, with the gold wax poured over and pulled towards the centre of the painting.
